This is a private company
with medically equipped airplanes and helicopters. They have been to
Junquillal and have agreed that the cleared area adjacent to Hotel Junquillal
and in front of Villa Serena is suitable for helicopter landing. The cost per
flight is around $3400. If the injured person could go to Tamarindo or to another
airfield where a small plane can land the cost would be $1600-$2500.

Apparently all bodies of
foreign nationals are taken to the Morgue Judicial (located
near the airport) in
Once the
morgue releases the body, they will call the funeral home so that they can
pick up the body. If you decide to cremate the body, it will be at least 24
hours before you can pick up the remains after the body is released to the
funeral home.
